5 Things that Useful to Keep Your Brain Memory

Our brain has three types of memory, which are immediate, short-term, and long-term. Immediate memory is the amount of information that can be stored by a person without having to remember it again. While short-term memory is information stored in time only a few minutes to a few hours, after which it will disappear. If long-term memory, the stored information will last very long.

Memory will go down with the increase of our age. However, it is not impossible that in old age you still have a strong memory, if doing some of the following routinely.

1. Give more attention

If there's something, like someone talking about something, try to pay more attention. More attention keep the information better stored in memory.

2. Sharpen the brain

It mean to encourage the brain to continue working. The trick is diverse, can be by playing chess, playing boardgames, learning a new language, reading a book, or traveling.

3. Exercising

Simple exercises such as walking fast, jogging, or swimming can stimulate the brain work and encourage the growth of new neurons in the brain.

4. Consumption of antioxidant foods

Foods that contain antioxidants are good for brain health, especially memory performance. Fruits, vegetables such as carrots and spinach, and green tea are foods and beverages that are highly recommended for memory in order not to drop.

5. Take supplements

Promising supplements that can improve memory usually contain ginkgo biloba, vitamin E, and DHEA (hormone). But you should consult your doctor before taking these supplements.
