Global Youth Summit 2019 in Indonesia

A total of 14 countries, including Indonesia, will send delegations to attend the 2019 Global Youth Summit (GYS). GYS 2019 is an environmental conference for young people throughout Asia Pacific. This event initiated by the Hemispheres Foundation Singapore.

As reported by JPNN, at this event, Prime International Education Consultant (PRIME) as the licensee of organizing events in Indonesia chose Taruna Nusantara High School (SMATN) in Magelang, Central Java as the venue.

The school which is under the auspices of the Lembaga Perguruan Taman Taruna Nusantara (LPTTN) has long been recognized by the Indonesian people as a favorite school that has graduated a superior generation of young people and aspiring future leaders of Indonesia.

The event was also fully supported by the Tidar Heritage Foundation (THF). THF founded by national leaders who was born in the area of ​​Magelang and has a vision that peace in the world can be found by loving nature, culture and spiritual teachings.

GYS itself is an event package for young people who there are many activities focused on caring for the environment.

In the event entitled Biodiversity and Water Scarcity, all participants from 14 countries will be given material from international speakers.

It aims to equip young people to be more caring and responsible for environmental sustainability.

"Later there will be several programs including discussion, seminars, field trips, and most importantly participants will be taught how to make direct projects by trainers and instructors from Singapore and Australia," explained Andry Prihartono, director of Foris International Event Organizer as the event organizer.

He added, young people who take part in the event will be enlightened so they know more about what threatens environmental balance.

"Including how they can contribute with a simple but real effect to overcome them," Andry said.

The GYS program will be held on January 16, 2019 and will end on January 20, 2019.

In addition to participating in discussions and seminars, the participants will also be invited to tour the location of SMATN campus which has a biodiversity collection in the form of various rare plants, and also field trip PT Selektani Induk Usaha production unit.

It is a national company that serves the international market as a provider of plant superior seeds for agribusiness players, until tree planting is a real form of concern for the environment.

Because this event is open to the public, who feels concerned about the environment can join us in this event. Here we learn together how to prevent the impact of damage to the environment including how to educate the public about the importance of preventing environmental damage.

In this event there will be representatives from the Ministry of Education & Culture, the Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy and the Ministry of Environment & Forestry.
